Shell Point’s 2017-2018 Concert Series presents Southwest Florida Symphony’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” Dec. 12

FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 6, 2017) – Shell Point Retirement Community’s 2017-2018 Concert Series welcomes Southwest Florida Symphony to the stage for a Holiday Pops concert performance, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at the Village Church on The Island at Shell Point. The event is open to the public, with tickets available for purchase online at www.shellpoint.org/concerts or by phone at 239-454-2067.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” will reprise songs from the 1965 classic animated special, “Peanuts,” as well as other traditional Christmas tunes. Pianist Jim Martinez and his quartet will join the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra in paying tribute to the famous songs written or arranged by Vince Guaraldi.

Dr. Trent Brown, director of choral studies at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), and the talented young voices of the FGCU Chamber Choir, will also join the orchestra for the seasonal celebration. Attendees will enjoy Christmas favorites such as “O Tannenbaum,” “White Christmas,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “What Child Is This,” “Joy to the World” and many more.
