Hospice Care

Hospice care at Shell Point includes palliative and hospice care.

Shell Point provides superior care and above average staffing ratios that include on-site staff physicians and a nurse practitioner making daily rounds, as well as registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals all focused on providing person-centered care to residents.

National Board of Hospice-certified RNs provide 24-hour palliative care, including pain management to alleviate pain during prolonged illness. Hospice care focuses on preventing, relieving, and reducing symptoms to allow the individual to experience comfort and peace. Social and emotional support are provided for both the patient and the family. A dedicated chapel and full-time chaplain provide spiritual support, as well.
