SHELL POINT WELCOMES THE MASTERSINGERS

FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 22, 2011) – The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers will present Handel’s MESSIAH at The Village Church on The Island at Shell Point Retirement Community. This concert event will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 6:15 PM, and tickets are $10 each.
“We have enjoyed every performance that The Season of Praise Concert Series has brought to us this year,” says Pastor Randy Woods, minister of worship and music for The Village Church. “This final performance will be amazing as well as uplifting as we celebrate the beautiful meaning of Easter.”

The Easter portion of MESSIAH, as Parts Two and Three are often called, is not heard as often as Part One, the Advent and Christmas portion of MESSIAH. Part Two chronicles Christ’s passion, resurrection, ascension, and proclamation to the world of the Christian message. Part Three is based primarily upon the events chronicled in the Book of Revelation.

Tickets are required to attend and are $10 each. For concert and ticket information, please call (239) 454-2147.
