SHELL POINT SEMINAR DISCUSSES EGYPT TODAY AND HOW WE GOT HERE

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 15, 2011) – Shell Point Retirement Community will welcome Professor Adrien Kerr back to the community to discuss the current situation in Egypt and how the country has arrived to its state today. The presentation will take place on Friday, March 4, in the Village Church Auditorium on The Island at 7:15pm. “We have all watched the situation unfold in Cairo Egypt and Professor Kerr will be able to shed some light on the background and history of how the country got to this point,” said Teri Kollath, Academy/Volunteer Manager for Shell Point Retirement Community. “Professor Kerr has visited Shell Point many times to speak about the Middle East and he has always offered great insight into those regions of the world, and we are looking forward to having him back on campus.”

Kerr is an Egyptologist and will take a closer look at the background of Egypt that led to the current turmoil. He is also the author of two books, Ancient Egypt & Us and KV63 – The New Tomb in the Valley of the Kings, which will both be available for purchase. All the funds from the book sales will benefit the preservation efforts currently underway in Egypt. Professor Adrian Kerr is regularly invited to give talks on various topics internationally, and has participated in TV and Radio programs relating to topics in which he is considered an expert.

Tickets are required to attend and can be purchased for $10 each. To reserve your tickets, or receive additional information about this presentation, please call (239) 454-2054.
