SHELL POINT INVITES SOUTHWEST FLORIDA TO ANNUAL ART SHOW AND SALE

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 22, 2011) – The annual Shell Point Art Show and Sale is schedule to take place on March 4, 5, and 6 in the Social Center on The Island. The Resident Art Show Committee invites the public to view the artwork created by many of the talented artists who live in the retirement community at Shell Point. The show runs from 9am to 4pm on March 4 and 5, and then from noon to 3pm on March 6. “The art show has always been a popular event that allows the public a chance to view and purchase original works of art created by Shell Point residents throughout the year,” said Suzanne Bennett, Shell Point resident and Art Show Coordinator. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to visit with us during the show and get a glimpse of the work created by the many talented artists in our community.”

This year’s exhibit will feature: paintings, pottery, sculptures, stained glass, polished stonework, wood carvings, and unique jewelry.

The 2011 Shell Point Art Show and Sale will be held in the Social Center on The Island on March 4 and 5 from 9am to 4pm and on March 6 from noon to 3pm. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call Melody Desilets, program coordinator at (239) 454-2057.
