Shell Point Employee Has Lots Of Love For Locks Of Love

FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 21, 2008) — Diane Biolchini, the salon receptionist/assistant in the Island Salon at Shell Point, recently donated 15 inches of hair to the “Locks of Love” charity. Diane has been growing her hair for 5 years with the intent of donating her hair to the charity on her 50th birthday, which was August 12. The Salon not only cut 15 inches in length of Diane’s hair – she received a complete makeover!

“Locks of Love” is a charitable organization that takes donation of hair from generous donors and creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness or some kind of disadvantage. Hair loss can be a very traumatic experience, especially for a child. All donations need to be at least 10 inches of hair secured in a braided ponytail.

“Diane has a deep love of children, and a giving spirit which is demonstrated in Diane’s most recent act of giving,” said Robyn Church, manager of the Shell Point Salon.

Shell Point Retirement Community is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located in Fort Myers just off Summerlin Road, two miles before the Sanibel causeway. Shell Point is a nationally recognized leader in the retirement industry.
