The Village Church at Shell Point Announces The 2008-2009 Season Of Praise Concert Series

FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 1, 2008) — The line up for the 2008/2009 Season of Praise Concert Series at The Village Church at Shell Point Retirement Community has been announced by Randy Woods, minister of worship and music for The Village Church. This series of uplifting sacred music and gospel songs will offer a total of eight performances. The artist roster and dates are as follows:

    • Two Tenors, Barry Craft and Ben Owens
      Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 6:15pm

 

    • A Christmas Celebration with The Village Church Choir and Special Guest Artist Ken Medema – singer pianist and composer
      Sunday, December 14, 2008 6:15pm

 

    • Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass
      Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 6:15pm and Monday, January 12, 2009 at 7:15pm

 

    • Festival of Keyboards with Stephen Nielson, Ovid Young, Jeff Bennett, & Gerald Anderson
      Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 6:15pm

 

    • God and Country Celebration with the Village Church Choir and special guest artist Bob Ralston, Organist
      Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 6:15pm and Monday, February 16, 2009 at 7:15pm

 

    • Classic Symphonic Praise with The Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra
      Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 7:15pm

 

    • Old Time Gospel Jazz with the Barbary Coast Dixieland Band
      Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 6:15pm

 

  • Gabriel V Brass Ensemble
    Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 6:15pm

“The Season of Praise has been an annual event for many years at The Village Church and continues to expand each year,” says Pastor Woods. “This year’s roster of artists provides a variety of presentations, as well as musical accomplishment, and is sure to be a delight for our audience.”
