SHELL POINT’S SECOND ANNUAL SUMMER CONCERT SERIES CONTINUES

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 24, 2011) – The Summer Music Concert Series at Shell Point Retirement Community continues with the Crossroads Quartet on July 22. This performance is open to the general public, as well as Shell Point residents, and will begin at 7:30pm.The Crossroads Quartet is a highly anticipated new vocal quartet steeped in the tradition of the Barbershop genre. Crossroads entertains with a wide variety of musical styles in addition to Barbershop, including vocalizing, Blues, Gospel, standards from the Great American Song Book, and Pop Classics. Crossroads boasts four very versatile champion vocalists all who have earned the coveted “Gold Medal” awarded each year by the Barbershop Harmony Society World Champion Quartet. In 2009 they were International Champions.

“The Summer Music Concert Series has proven to be a very popular event in Southwest Florida,” says Dawn Boren, Director of Resident Life. “We already had a great performance in June with Dan McMillion’s Jazz Orchestra, and I know that the next two concerts are sure to impress all who attend. This musical series has received rave reviews from Shell Point and Southwest Florida residents who stay in Southwest Florida through the summer and look forward to the opportunity to enjoy a variety of performances in the slower season.”
