Shell Point Welcomes Finemark Bank to The Community

Local Bank Begins On-Site Service to Community in June

FORT MYERS, FL (May 28, 2009) — Shell Point Retirement Community and FineMark National Bank and Trust have established a business relationship that will be mutually beneficial to both organizations. Starting on June 15, FineMark Bank will offer on-site banking services to residents, employees, and the public at Shell Point Retirement Community.

As a retirement community that offers resort-style living, Shell Point is home to more than 2,100 residents and employs more than 850 individuals. Plus, with two hotels, numerous restaurants, and a championship golf course, thousands of people visit Shell Point each year.

“On-site banking is just one of the many services that Shell Point provides for the convenience of our residents and employees,” said Tim Ficker, executive vice president of Shell Point. “Although they are not scheduled to open until mid-June, the staff of FineMark is already providing our residents with exceptional service by arranging informational group meetings or sitting down one-on-one with any resident who has questions. They are truly showing that they offer personal service to all their clients.”

Susan Chicone, who will lead FineMark’s client service team at Shell Point, believes that Shell Point and FineMark share similar philosophies. “At FineMark National Bank and Trust our culture is focused on establishing long term, high-touch relationships with clients. We have a commitment to excellence in service to our clients and making a positive difference in the communities we serve. Shell Point clearly has a commitment to excellence and has been highly successful creating a wonderful community environment.”

The FineMark National Bank & Trust location at Shell Point will offer a wide variety of banking services including checking, savings, safe deposit boxes, CDs, and more. FineMark will also offer Trust and Investment services to residents. “Our goal is to determine which services will meet the needs of each of our clients to always ensure that the services they are using are in their best interest,” said Chicone.

FineMark will operate out of a temporary location at Shell Point for the first three months as they completely renovate the current banking office on-site to modernize the facility. In addition to the renovation of the facility’s interior, FineMark will be adding an ATM machine, which will be located outside of the building.

“This is a much anticipated improvement that our residents and employees have desired for many years and will greatly enhance banking services for everyone on property,” said Ficker.
