SHELL POINT PRESENTS THE NAPLES JAZZ ORCHESTRA

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 18, 2010) — The Naples Jazz Orchestra will offer a performance at Shell Point Retirement Community on Monday, July 19.  The event will take place in the Village Church Auditorium in The Island neighborhood at Shell Point Retirement Community.

“The Naples Jazz Orchestra is a very talented and respected group in the Southwest Florida area,” said Dawn Boren, Director of Resident Life at Shell Point. “We are honored to have them offer this performance to our residents and the general public, and know that all who attend will enjoy their musical entertainment.”

The Naples Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Bob Stone, is a classic “Big Band” in the tradition of the legendary bands of Count Bassie, Duke Ellington, and Glenn Miller, and performs the music of the greatest composers, arrangers, and bands in jazz history.  Bob Stone brings over 40 years of musical experience, and has formed and managed, as well as directed, the Bob Sten Big Band in Chicago.
