Guests Invited to Attend a Variety of Seminars on Aging

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 2, 2012) – Shell Point Retirement Community is pleased to offer a FREE seminar series on Senior Living in Southwest Florida which will provide guests with insightful tools and resources to understand the changing needs encountered by older adults. Shell Point’s experts will discuss everything related to lifestyles after 80, the seven dimensions of wellness, financial planning, and approaching a loved one on the topic of assisted living. Space is limited, so registration is required to attend. Each presentation will take place during the following dates and times:

• Mental Well-Being As We Age – Presented by Sue Stranahan, Shell Point Chaplain

• Long Term Planning: Finances, Advanced Directives, and Insurance – Presented by Timothy Stephenson, Executive Director of the Legacy Foundation at Shell Point
Thursday, March 8 at 6:00pm

• How to Approach a Parent About Assisted Living? – Presented by Rita Southern, Director of Assisted Living at Shell Point
Thursday, March 22 at 6:00pm

“No matter what stage of life we are in, there are always changes, and learning more about your options always helps in making an educated decision about the future,” said Rita Southern, director of assisted living facilities and resident support services. “We felt that by offering a series that covered specific topics of interest for older adults, it would help them in a current or future decision making process.”
