Shell Point named among Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Aging Services

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 19, 2023) – Shell Point has been recognized as one of the 2023 Best Workplaces in Aging Services by Fortune Media and Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture.

One of only two Florida retirement communities to earn the designation, Shell Point ranked 13th among the 25 best large senior housing companies to work for in the country. The Best Workplaces in Aging Services award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 168,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies in the aging services industry. In that survey, 86% of Shell Point’s team members said it is a great place to work. This number is 29% higher than the average U.S. company.

The Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization. In April, Shell Point was recognized as a Great Place to Work for the third consecutive year.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the 2023 Best Workplaces in Aging Services. This accolade is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for our team members at Shell Point,” said Karen Anderson, Shell Point’s Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Compliance Officer. “We believe that a thriving workforce is essential to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. This recognition inspires us to continue our efforts in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.”

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.
