SHELL POINT ACADEMY CLASS PRESENTS FEDERAL BUDGET 101

FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 27, 2012)

The Academy at Shell Point invites Southwest Florida residents to attend an informative presentation by Chauncey Goss entitled, Federal Budget 101. This presentation will take place on Thursday, October 11, at 7pm, in the Village Church Auditorium on The Island at Shell Point Retirement Community.

Goss has been a resident in southwest Florida for 31 years, and established his own fiscal policy consulting firm in 2010, Goss Practical Solutions, LLC. He currently serves as a managing director and provides economic and fiscal policy analysis to help businesses address economic policies coming from Washington DC. Prior to establishing his own practice, Goss served as a senior staffer for the Office of Management and Budget, and he was a Deputy Staff Director for the US House Budget Committee where he worked closely with Congressman Paul Ryan.

“His experience provides him with a unique and valuable understanding of the federal government’s budgetary process and fiscal policy,” said Teri Kollath, Manager of Academy and Volunteer Services. “We are looking forward to learning about how our national budget works, and to see how financial policies coming out of Washington DC are impacting our region.”
