Emergency Services Appreciation Day

Thanks To Our Local Heroes
FORT MYERS, FL – A special Emergency Services Appreciation Day will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on The Island at Shell Point. The Edison Regional Bloodmobile will be at Shell Point that day, accepting blood donations from residents and staff. It will be parked in front of The Village Church.

In addition to the Bloodmobile, representatives from the Iona/McGregor Fire and Rescue Station will be on hand from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Residents are invited to stop by and express their appreciation to these local heroes for the efforts they make on our behalf every day. Fire department personnel will conduct giveaways throughout the day, and accept donations to assist firefighters and rescue workers in New York. Shell PointÕs own security manager, John Dattilo, and fire safety officer, Jim Runninger, will also be there.

Shell Point is located off Summerlin Road in Fort Myers, just two miles before the Sanibel Causeway.
