FORT MYERS, Fla. ( November 30, 2016)
The Club at Shell Point recently hosted 144 golfers for the 13th annual Shell Point Open Golf Tournament, which raised $42,000. Funds will benefit the general in-patient hospice unit in The Larsen Pavilion skilled nursing center, which serves both Shell Point residents and the Southwest Florida community.
Presented by The Legacy Foundation at Shell Point, along with title co-sponsors Wright Construction Group and FineMark National Bank & Trust, the 18-hole scramble began with a continental breakfast and patriotic salute in honor of Veterans Day.
Golfers finished at the clubhouse with a silent auction, tournament prize announcements, and a full, catered luncheon by Executive Chef Richard Brown of The Club at Shell Point.
