FORT MYERS, FL (November 25, 2009)  –The 2009/2010 Season of Praise Concert Series continues at The Village Church at Shell Point Retirement Community with A Christmas Celebration featuring Jane Holstein and Joel Raney on December 13 at 6:15pm.

2009 Shell Point Open Golf Tournament Raises Money To Benefit The Rehabilitation Center

FORT MYERS, FL (November 20, 2009) ) –The sixth annual Shell Point Open Golf Tournament, presented by the Legacy Foundation at Shell Point, was held this year to raise funds for the Rehabilitation Center located on The Island at Shell Point, which offers rehabilitation services to individuals in the Southwest Florida area. The tournament was held on Friday, November 13, 2009, at the Shell Point Golf Club in Fort Myers, and raised more than $20,000 for the cause, announced Timothy Stephenson, Executive Director of the Legacy Foundation at Shell Point.

The funds raised from this tournament will help with the upcoming completion of the Rehabilitation Center, as well as contribute to purchasing any new or updated products and technology that can assist in making rehabilitation a faster and smoother process for those who need it.

Shell Point Academy Class to Highlight the History of the Uncommon Friends Foundation and Its Impact on Southwest Florida

FORT MYERS, FL (November 19, 2009) ) – The public is invited to attend a presentation about the Uncommon Friends Foundation sponsored by The Academy at Shell Point Retirement Community. The seminar will be held on Monday, November 30, beginning at 10am in the Grand Cypress Room, which is located in The Woodlands Commons at Shell Point. The scheduled presenter is Arlene Roth, Executive Director Uncommon Friends Foundation.

“The Uncommon Friends Foundation has been operating since 1993 and has had a positive impact on our youth and business leaders in the Southwest Florida community,” said Teri Kollath, Manager of The Academy and Volunteer Services. “This presentation will give attendees the chance to learn about the origins of the organization and how they can volunteer or participate with the Foundation.”

Shell Point Kicks Off The Life Enrichment Series With A Florida Residency & Estate Planning Workshop Presented by Attorneys Craig Hersch & Michael Hill

FORT MYERS, FL (November 4, 2009) ) – Shell Point Retirement Community welcomes Attorneys Craig Hersch and Michael Hill, Board Certified Wills, Trusts & Estate attorneys of Sheppard, Brett, Stewart, Hersch, Kinsey, & Hill, PA, who will offer an informative workshop on Florida Residency and Estate Planning. The event is on November 11 with complimentary estate planning reviews beginning at 8:30a.m., and the program beginning at 9:30a.m. in the Village Church auditorium at Shell Point. This event is free, however, space is limited, so RSVPs are required.
