SHELL POINT GOLF CLUB OFFERS GOLFERS A CHANCE TO IMPROVE THEIR GAME

FORT MYERS, FL (December 30, 2009)  – The Shell Point Golf Club recently launched a golf school program to help students improve their golf swing and lower their golf scores. The two- or three-day classes can be customized to fit the schedule, needs, and skills of each golfer.

“Golfers who want to spend one-on-one time with a golf pro to increase their game will appreciate the flexibility this school offers,” said Jim Carpenter, PGA Golf Professional at Shell Point Golf Club. “The program’s flexible schedule allows the student to decide how much time they want to commit and where they need the most assistance. Classes are kept very small to ensure concentrated attention on the areas where the students want to improve their golf game.”

The school fees include lunch daily, bag storage, a student reference handbook with golf etiquette and rules, 9-holes of afternoon on-course instruction, a minimum of five hours of instruction, green and cart fees, and unlimited use of the golf range on school days. Additionally, classes will never have more than four students at a time, so that each participant gets the appropriate amount of personalized attention to their game. All classes are taught by highly skilled instructors who know how to teach and play the game of golf. “Every day is a great day for golf at Shell Point Golf Club,” said Mike Mongoven, Director of Golf for Shell Point Golf Club.

Reservations are required to participate. Call (239) 433-9790 to reserve your dates and times for the Shell Point Golf School, or to receive additional information about this opportunity.

The Shell Point Golf Club is an 18-hole Championship Golf Course that opened in 2000 and was designed by Gordon Lewis. The course offers a grass driving range and practice green, lessons, a fully-stocked pro shop and snack bar, and all the course golf carts are equipped with Uplink GPS monitors. The course is open to the public, and is located at the entrance to Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida, just off Summerlin Road, two miles before the Sanibel Island Causeway.
