Variety Praised by Contemporary Long Term Care Magazine
FORT MYERS, FL – Bountiful buffets at the Crystal Room. Grill specialties at the Island Cafe. Homemade specials at the Cafe Promenade. Fine dining at The Mahogany Room.
The variety of dining choices available at Shell Point has caught the attention of Contemporary Long Term Care magazine, a trade publication that covers the industry of healthcare and housing for senior adults. In its September 2002 issue, Shell Point was honored with an “Order of Excellence” award for the best customer service and dining procedures among all senior facilities in the country.
“I’m proud of all of our dining services employees and the hard work they do every day,” said Al Slickers, director of hospitality.
One of the most important aspects of Shell Point’s excellence, according to the magazine, is utilizing the feedback continuously garnered from residents. “We exist only to serve them,” said Slickers, “and we thrive on their thoughts and comments. Much of this award belongs to them.”
