FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 20, 2022) – Fashions made from materials normally considered to be trash will go on display Saturday, May 7 when Tribby Arts Center opens “Castoffs to Couture: Selections from Project Refuge of the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society.”
The exhibition, presented by Tribby Arts Center in partnership with the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, will be on display through June 25 in the Shell Point Gallery of the Tribby Arts Center of Shell Point Retirement Community.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 7, 2022) – The art galleries of the Tribby Arts Center of Shell Point Retirement Community are presenting three new exhibitions that are open to all.
In the first-floor Shell Point Gallery, the Tribby is displaying The Style of Place: New Works by Suzanne Bennett, Keith Johnson, and Peter Zell. For this exhibition, on display through Saturday April 30, three prominent painters in Southwest Florida painted new works of the same ten locations to demonstrate the role that artistic style plays in the creative process.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 21, 2022) – Shell Point Retirement Community has announced the Tribby Arts Center is open to the public. The $25 million, 44,000-square-foot arts center opened in spring 2021 and is home to musical and educational programming at Shell Point. The Tribby Arts Center includes the 400-seat Connie Brown Hall and three art galleries showcasing work from residents, as well as regional and national artists.

WHO: Eight Shell Point residents who served in WWII, ranging from 95 to 102 years old
WHAT: Dream Flights – a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring seniors and military veterans –
is providing Shell Point’s WWII veterans with a flight in a Boeing Stearman biplane as part of “Operation September Freedom” to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the official end of the second World War. Since August 1, 604 WWII veterans have been honored with a flight and signed the tail of the Stearman they flew in.
