FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 24, 2010) — Ensemble Galilei will offer the next performance in the 2009/2010 Fine and Performing Arts Concert Series at Shell Point Retirement Community announced Dawn Boren, director of resident life for Shell Point Retirement Community. Their performance will be on Friday, March 12, at 7:30pm in the Village Church Auditorium located on The Island at Shell Point.
“This performance will be very interesting for all who attend, because it incorporates music and photos to evoke emotions of awe and excitement,” said Boren. “This is our eighth year offering the Fine and Performing Arts Concert Series, and we try to add new and interesting performers to the roster so that each year is different and meets the needs of so many different individuals who enjoy a variety of concerts.”

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 23, 2010) — The annual Shell Point Art Show and Sale will be held Friday, March 5, through Sunday, March 7. The Resident Art Show Committee invites the public to view the artwork created by many of the talented artists who live in the retirement community at Shell Point. This year’s exhibit will feature: paintings, pottery, sculptures, stained glass, polished stonework, wood carvings, and unique jewelry.
“The art show is a popular event that gives the public a chance to view and purchase original works of art created by various Shell Point residents throughout the year,” said Susan Miltner, Shell Point resident and Art Show Coordinator. “We are excited to welcome everyone to visit with us during the show and get just a small glimpse of the work created by the many talented artists in our community.”
The 2010 Shell Point Art Show and Sale will be held inside the Social Center on The Island at Shell Point on Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6, from 9am to 4pm, and Sunday, March 7, from noon to 4pm. FORT MYERS, FL (February 19, 2010) – Residents of Southwest Florida who would like to learn about resort style retirement options and lifecare, are invited to attend one of several informational meetings at Shell Point Retirement Community. One of Shell Point’s experienced retirement counselors will explain the numerous benefits received when becoming a resident at Shell Point.
The morning meetings will be held at 9:15am on the following dates in the Crystal Dining Room at Shell Point, which is located on The Island: March 2; March 16; March 23; and March 30.
The afternoon meetings will be held at 1:30pm on the following dates in the Oak Room located in The Woodlands neighborhood at Shell Point: March 3; March 10; March 17; and March 31. One additional afternoon meeting will take place on March 24 at 1:30pm in the Resident Activity Center’s Osprey Room that is located on The Island at Shell Point.

Speakers scheduled to participate in this panel presentation are Dr. Nancy Spencer, Clinical Psychologist, Shell Point Behavioral Health Department; Dr. Carol Clark, Nurse Practitioner; and Dr. Sue Stranahan, RN, DrPH, Director of the Department of Spirituality, Shell Point.
