Monitoring Tropical Depression 18

We are closely tracking the progress of Tropical Depression 18. Currently, its projected path indicates a westward course away from Florida. However, as the storm passes along our coastline as a potential Category 1 hurricane, we can anticipate rain, gusty winds, and waves reaching our seawalls. The anticipated timeframe for impacts to Southwest Florida is from Wednesday into Thursday.

Preparation
As a precaution, Shell Point teams are implementing plans for tropical storm-strength weather. Please secure items on balconies, in gardens, and yards and prepare for the possibility of power outages. Keep a flashlight within reach and keep your phone fully charged. Additional recommendations for weather disruptions can be found in the Shell Point Hurricane Preparedness Guide at ShellPoint.org/Storm. Note that contractors and construction partners will secure their job sites.

Operations and Activities
At this time, all community operations will continue normal hours of service.

Next Update
We will provide an additional update if the storm’s trajectory or impact on our community significantly changes.
