A native of Salerno, Italy, Pietro Iannotti started studying piano at age five. Since the age of nine, he has been performing publicly in recitals and with orchestras – both in Italy and abroad, gaining acclaim from both audience and critics. Pietro received his bachelor’s degree from the Conservatory G. Martucci of Salerno, and later, a master’s degree with maximum votes and distinction at the renowned Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy.
Pietro has participated and won numerous national and international competitions. He has also appeared in important music festivals and concert series such as the International Festival of European Conservatories in Montepulciano, Italy; Maggio della Musica in Naples, Italy; and Friends of the Music Ministry at St. James Cathedral in Orlando, Florida.
In March 2013, after a petition to validate his artistic titles, the United States Department of Homeland Security granted Pietro an O1 visa, which is given exclusively to individuals who possess extraordinary ability in the field of sciences, arts, education, business or athletics. This visa allows Pietro to teach at two music schools in Florida and to perform regularly for music festivals in the U.S. Pietro has also taught for more than 18 years in Italy and some of his students have received competitive awards. Currently, he teaches from his studio in Oslo, Norway and is invited to perform regularly locally and abroad.
