3 Guidelines for Healthy Weight

What are some things that you can do to help maintain a healthy weight and feel energetic? Here are three guidelines to get you started.

Smart food choices are vitally important. The most nutritious foods are those closest to their natural state. Fresh fruits and vegetables are healthier than their canned versions. Additionally, lean meats such as chicken and fish are preferable over red meats and pork.

Eat in moderation. Consume small meals throughout the day instead of not eating and then having a one huge meal. You can have your cake and eat it too, but make it a thin slice once a week instead of a big chunk every day.

Take the time to enjoy your food. Slow down and taste each bite. Take a drink of water in between bites and put your fork down. And after each meal, take a walk. The best way to manage your weight is to keep moving. Being a sedentary couch potato will eventually start to make you look like one.
