Sunshine and Summertime
Shell Point 2017 Summer Concert Series

Shell Point is pleased to announce the lineup for its seventh annual Summer Concert Series, featuring six performances, beginning in May and continuing through September. Locations and times vary by concert; see individual descriptions for more information.

As summer approaches and many venture north to beat the heat, this series offers great options for musical entertainment.

Thanks to many recommendations, Shell Point is “going local” with some talented performers from right here in sunny Southwest Florida — along with nationally known artists. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy diverse concerts while supporting local groups. Purchase tickets early, and invite a friend to join you!

Amernet String Quartet

The Amernet String Quartet has garnered recognition as one of today’s exceptional string quartets and serves as ensemble-in-residence at Florida International University in Miami. The quartet is comprised of cellist Jason Calloway, along with violinists Misha Vitenson, Franz Felkl, and Michael Klotz. Praised for their “intelligence” and “immensely satisfying” playing by the New York Times, the group’s sound has been described as complex with an old world flavor and superb technical ability. Don’t miss this Shell Point performance, held in a chamber-style setting that lets audience members mix and mingle with performers following the concert.
