The Village Church at Shell Point has announced the lineup for its 2015-2016 Season of Praise Concert Series, an annual collection of sacred music and inspirational worship celebrations.
Five performances in the 2015-2016 Season of Praise Concert Series bring a mix of singers, actors, solo and ensemble instrumentalists, pianists, organists, a brass band, and even a choir to the newly-renovated Village Church stage at Shell Point. The artist roster and dates are as follows:
• Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass – Sunday, Jan. 10, at 6:15 p.m. The King’s Brass adds contemporary flair to classic hymns by uniting three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion, and keyboard for a full, rich sound.
• Indiana Wesleyan University Concert Choir – Wednesday, March 9, at 7:15 p.m. This competitive choir combines youthful energy with sacred favorites at the highest level of performance and chorale ministry.
• Rachel Park, pianist – Easter Sunday, March 27, at 6:15 p.m. International pianist Rachel Park, of The King’s Brass, returns to celebrate Easter Sunday with a variety of sacred piano songs.
• Tenore, Men’s Trio – Sunday, April 17, at 6:15 p.m. Award-winning men’s trio Tenore will engage audiences with powerhouse vocals, creating a memorable concert experience.
All concerts require the purchase of a non-refundable $10 ticket. Additional information about each performance, as well as ticket purchase, is available online at www.shellpoint.org/seasonof praise or by calling the Village Church office at 239-454-2147.
“Inspirational concerts and worship celebrations are an integral part of the ongoing ministry of The Village Church,” said Randy Woods, minister of Worship and Music. “It is a joy for us to partner and present guest performers who encourage and inspire us with the artistic expressions of their faith.”
