  • The Stardust Memories Big Band

    Tuesday, June 14th | 7:30 p.m. | $21

The Stardust Memories Big Band includes some of Southwest Florida’s finest musicians, and was created to carry forward the legacy of this true and original American art form at dance venues and concert stages through public and private performances. The group plays the original arrangements made famous by great bands and band leaders, including Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, and many more.

The Stardust Memories Big Band is now in its second season. It is the vision of founder and band leader Craig Christman from Naples, Florida, who created the band to bring back this great music for the enjoyment of audiences near and far. The Stardust Memories Big Band plays with the same quality and energy of the original performances

  • Ethan Uslan, Ragtime Pianist

    Thursday, July 14th | 7:30 p.m. | $21

Ethan Uslan is a ragtime, jazz, and silent film pianist based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a three-time winner of the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest, and has performed across the U.S., UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Belgium.

Beginning classical studies at the age of nine in his hometown of South Orange, New Jersey, Ethan went on to study piano at Indiana University. He has appeared with symphony orchestras, large and small jazz bands, improv comedy groups, and even a clown show.

He is ideally suited for the demands of silent film accompaniment, as the rollicking sounds of ragtime and 1920s jazz are a splendid match for the antics of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd. A formidable improviser, Ethan shifts keys, styles, speeds, and harmonies to unite the sounds of the piano with the action on the silver screen.

  • Gulfshore Trio

    Thursday, September 15th | 7:30 p.m. | $21

Enjoy this evening with the Gulfshore Trio, comprised of: Accomplished violinist Reiko Niiya, celebrating her 32nd anniversary as concertmaster of the Southwest Florida Symphony, since moving to the area in 1982.

Concert pianist William Dawson, soloist with the Boston Pops and various other orchestras. He is a native of Virginia and an alumnus of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studied piano under world-renowned concert pianist Rudolf Serkin. William has concertized as a soloist throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Shea Kole is a phenomenal young cellist who currently plays with Opera Naples and the Gulf Coast Sinfonia. A native of Boise, Idaho, he attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts as an Emerson Scholar in 1998, and earned a bachelor’s degree at the prestigious Eastman School of Music.
