This year we are introducing a Chamber Concert Series for your enjoyment.

The series will feature an hour of classical music in the intimate setting

of the Grand Cypress Room at the Woodlands.  Following each concert

participants will enjoy coffee and desserts while they converse with

featured artists and guests.
 

Mountain Laurel TrioBeth Larson is a Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music graduate and flutist for Southwest Florida Symphony and Palm Beach Opera Orchestra.  Scott Ellington, a Clarinetist and former student with Stanley Hasty at the Eastman School of Music, is a member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and performs with the Southwest Florida Symphony.  Julie Bearden Shaffer, pianist holds a music degree in Chamber Music and Accompanying from the University of Georgia.  She performs per service locally with the Naples Philharmonic and several local chamber groups.

 

 

The Gulf Coast TrioFort Myers residents and violinist James Rapp is a Juilliard graduate and former member of the Minneapolis Symphony & American Symphony under Leopold Stokowski.  Cellist Diane Coffman is a member of the San Francisco Symphony.  Pianist William Dawson is a former student of Rudolf Serkin at Curtis Institute of  Music, a Yale School of music graduate, and soloist with Boston Pops.

Soloist Konstanze Niedung, soprano, trained in Germany.  She presently lives in New York City and is the daughter of Helen Niedung, well known vocal teacher.

 

Dr. Kate BoydDr. Kate Boyd has performed as a soloist for may concert series and as a quest artist with established chamber music ensembles throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.  Among many other performances, she has appeared on the Trinity Chapel Series in New York, the FOLO series in Sligo, Ireland, and performed Schubert in Schubert's birth house in Vienna, Austria.  She is currently on staff at Butler University, Jordan College of Fine Arts.
